Sidr Leaves
Sidr Leaves
In development. We are preparing whole dried Sidr leaves for the Sidr & Stone collection, with careful attention to botanical identity, drying, handling and packaging.
Whole dried Sidr leaves
Sidr leaves come from trees known by the name Sidr. Ziziphus spina-christi is closely associated with that name. In shops and traditional references, you may also encounter lote leaves, lote tree leaves or jujube leaves. These common names are not always used consistently, which makes the botanical name and source important details to check.
Our planned product is the whole dried leaf form. We are selecting suppliers and reviewing their information before confirming the final source, botanical specification and preparation guidance.
Sidr leaves and traditional care
Sidr leaves have a place in traditional washing and personal-care practices. People exploring Sidr leaves for hair care often encounter references to a Sidr hair wash, leaf rinse or plant-based cleansing preparation. These describe traditional uses of the ingredient, rather than tested results for our forthcoming product.
We will publish the intended uses and appropriate directions for our leaves once the finished product has been assessed. For the cultural background of Sidr and the lote tree, explore our Sidr tree guide.
Whole Sidr leaves or Sidr powder?
The main difference is the form. Whole dried leaves retain their leaf structure, while Sidr leaf powder is made by grinding dried leaves. That difference affects how the ingredient is handled and prepared. Choose according to the intended use and the supplier’s directions for the particular product.
If you are looking for ground Sidr leaves, visit our separate Sidr Powder page. Keeping the two forms distinct helps you find the product you actually want.
Sidr leaves questions
What are Sidr leaves called in English?
Lote leaves and jujube leaves are names you may see used alongside Sidr leaves. Common names alone do not confirm a species or origin. We will include the verified botanical identity in our finished product information.
How are the leaves being selected?
We are focusing on supplier traceability, leaf identity, drying and handling information, and suitable packaging. Our aim is to make the source and care of the product clear before launch.
Can I buy Sidr leaves now?
